Tisbury Motors is an approved car and motorcycle M.O.T. testing station. The M.O.T has come along way from its early years in the 60’s back when just a few basic rudimentary systems where checked for compliance, now days the test it is a very comprehensive test. Your M.O.T test will cover a wide range of items as shown in the diagram above. You are welcome to book your M.O.T by calling us on 01747 870258 for an appointment between the hours of 8.30am to 16.30 pm at one hour intervals. I.E 8.30, 9.30 and so on. You have the option of sitting and waiting (coffee/tea provided) or have a walk around our pleasant historic location whilst your car is having its M.O.T or booking a courtesy car in advance and getting on with your day. You can book an MOT up to 28 days in advance of its due date, if the vehicle passes its test you will not lose any of your time as your new certificate is carried on from the expiry date of your old certificate. This means that your certificate can last for up to 13 months. The MOT test is an inspection of your vehicle as defined by VOSA (vehicle and operator services agency), it is not an alternative to a service, such things as tyre pressures and fluid levels are not part of the test and are not checked. The prices at present (January 2008) are £54.00 for a Car MOT If your vehicle fails its MOT no work will be carried out without first quoting and getting your permission.
